Today we are going to learn something new and something very interesting.

Renewable and non-renewable energy sources. This is one of my favourite topics 😎.

This is what you must do today:

1. Read page number 90.

2. Watch the following video:

(I edited the video myself and I feel like a real Youtuber 😝). It took me a long time to prepare it, so please watch it.

3. If you have doubts, SEND ME AN EMAIL.

4. You must research on ONE TYPE of energy source. You can choose between any of the ones mentioned in the video:

- Renewable energies: solar, hydro, biomass and wind.
- Non-renewable energies: coal, oil and natural gas.

You can choose ONE of them and investigate the following aspects:

- Why are they renewable/non-renewable?
- What are its advantages?
- What are its disadvantages?
- Do they cause pollution? Why/why not?
- How do we get energy from them?

Finally, you must answer this question:

- Why should we use renewable energy more than non- renewable energy?
- What will happen if we continue using non-renewable energy?

5. Send me your research (You can do a PowerPoint, a poster, you can write in the notebook, in a piece of paper, however you want).

Hoy vamos a aprender algo nuevo y algo súper interesante.

Energías renovables y no renovables. Este es uno de mis temas favoritos 😎.

Esto es lo que debéis hacer hoy (o durante la semana):

1. Leer la página 90.

2. Ver el siguiente vídeo:

(He editado el vídeo yo sola y me siento como una verdadera Youtuber😝).  Me ha costado mucho tiempo hacerlo, así que por fa, vedlo.

3. Si tenéis dudas, MANDADME UN EMAIL.

4. Debéis investigar acerca de un tipo de fuente de energía. Podéis elegir entre cualquiera de las que he mencionado en el vídeo, os las repito:

- Renewable energies: solar, hydro, biomass and wind.
- Non-renewable energies: coal, oil and natural gas.

Podéis elegir UNA de ellas (por ejemplo, hydro energy) e investigar los siguientes aspectos:

- Why are they renewable/non-renewable?  ¿Por qué se considera esta energia renovable/no renovable?
- What are its advantages?  ¿Cuáles son sus ventajas?
- What are its disadvantages? ¿Cuáles son sus inconvenientes?
- Do they cause pollution? Why/why not?  ¿Contaminan? ¿Por qué sí/no?
- How do we get energy from them?  ¿Cómo conseguimos la energía de estas fuentes?

Para acabar, debéis contestar estas preguntas:

- Why should we use renewable energy more than non- renewable energy?  ¿Por qué debemos utilizar fuentes de energía renovables más que fuentes de energía no renovables?

- What will happen if we continue using non-renewable energy? ¿Qué pasará si continuamos usando energías no renobables?

5. Enviadme vuestra investigación (podéis hacer un PowerPoint, un poster, podéis escribirlo en la libreta, en una hoja de papel, como queráis).
